Y ・ Y | Previously, I designed machines to make bearings, but I was attracted to the fact that Yutani is a machinery manufacturer that does everything in-house, from design to installation, so I joined the company. As a coil line company, our customers come from a wide variety of industries, and being involved in all these sectors is a great motivator. |
Y.G. | During my job search, I was looking for a manufacturer as I wanted to work as a designer, and when I came to Yutani's company information session, I was impressed by the environment in which processing, manufacturing, and design were all close together and could be moved around easily. The glass-walled design room also had a nice atmosphere, and I felt it would be an easy place to work, so I decided to join the company. |
Y ・ Y | It is necessary to think from a bird's-eye view about how the entire line should work at the customer's site, including not only Yutani's equipment but also post-processing such as presses and roll forming that come in between. There is pressure not to fail, but that makes the job all the more rewarding. |
Y.G. | Rather than a set product, we receive orders for equipment to transport materials before they are made into products, and each time we receive a different order, so it's stimulating. |
Y ・ Y | In our work as designers, when we receive an order, we hold a kick-off meeting with the sales group, design the machine, draw up an assembly diagram, and work together within the department to create a parts diagram. |
Y.G. | After joining the company, I learned the necessary knowledge for manufacturing for a year, and then moved to design in June of last year, and it has been six months since then. First, I started by getting a grasp of the flow of design work, but I gradually got used to it, and now I mainly support Mr. Yonezawa, while studying things I don't understand every day and learning what is necessary to become independent. |
Y ・ Y | I oversee all the processes until the machine that was designed is completed without any problems. It doesn't end with drawing up the design, but in the end it is completed when it is fully operational at the customer's site, so I feel rewarded being involved in everything from materials to processing to assembly. I feel very happy when my own idea works well and I receive good feedback. |
Y.G. | I'm happy that my ideas are steadily taking shape. It motivates me for my future work, and when I see the big projects of my seniors, I feel motivated to try them too! |
Y ・ Y | When I came to this company, I felt that it was an open environment, with no distinction between seniors and superiors, and it was very easy to consult with others. When I make a request or a problem occurs, they create a place for everyone to discuss it, and there is an atmosphere of working together to solve the problem. There are so few walls that I even play futsal with the president, so it's an easy environment to work in. |
Y.G. | It's an environment where you can easily go between departments, so it's easy to ask for advice, and if you have any problems, you can ask right away. Even without me having to say anything, my seniors ask if you're okay. When I was a student, I had an image of a company that was much more formal (laughs), so I was surprised at how frank it was. |
Y ・ Y | My goal for the future is to work on something bigger than what I'm currently involved in. I want to be able to design things that I have in mind from scratch. |
Y.G. | I've only been in the design department for six months, so right now I'm mainly doing my job in a passive role, but I would like to increase the number of things I can do on my own and be involved with large machinery. |
